Please No Jogging Through the Reenactment! It Ruins the Authenticity

Hello from CW!

We toured Colonial Williamsburg twice this weekend (really getting our money's worth out of those "Friends of Colonial Williamsburg" passes we got last month). Here are some pictures of the buildings you'll see in Colonial Williamsburg. The entire area is huge, much bigger than I expected and you can see "interpreters" working at the Foundry, the Blacksmith's Shop, the Cobbler's shop, the Cabinetmaker's shop, etc., etc., etc. We also toured the jail which only had about 6 cells but when your two options after your trial are to go free or be hanged, I guess the jailer didn't need much room...

We were lucky enough to catch General Washington and his troops marching through Williamsburg. Here a few pictures of his troops and their encampment. The tents look quite cozy.

That's enough for now. I'll post pictures from Thanksgiving hopefully tomorrow! Trust me, they're worth coming back for!
