A Feast Fit for Canucks

I'm a little late posting this because we've had a hectic last couple of weeks. Last Monday the 13th, Charlie and I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with Bobber and Liz who drove down from Rhode Island for the weekend.

The pictures do most of the talking, but there are a few notable things worth mentioning. We officially had three courses.

1) Butternut Squash Soup:

2) Charlie cooked a 16 lb. turkey, who we named Wilfred in 2 hours (and he didn't fry Wilfred either!). We also had 2 kinds of cranberry sauce (the white trash kind complete with can's ridge still indented and homemade cranberry sauce which was really good and I was partial to the white trash kind).

3) Pumpkin Pie with fresh whipped cream

Thanksgiving Round 1 = corking success!
