We officially now have a shop dog at work. Hadley came to the shop on Saturday and had a great time making friends and enjoying the new smells. What's nice about it is that if Virginia is going to have a busy day at school, I can just take the dog with me to work and she'll be fine.
We just finished two huge exterior doors made of reclaimed American Chestnut. When working with various species of wood it is interesting to note what the shop smells like. I think the smell of Walnut or Cherry has been my favourite so far, but Chestnut is definitely up there.
The cell phone picture doesn't do these doors justice on just how big they are. Measuring 40" across and over eight feet tall, I pity the animal whose tail gets shut in between them. Ouch.
