So apparently when I say I'm going to be out of commission during exams, it's actually code for posting every day.Just a quick update on our life. Charlie has a huge project going on at work for a restaurant in Richmond that should last for the rest of the year. I'm just chugging along towards finals. I finished my last journal assignment for the year today (well, not counting my note draft, but seriously, who is counting that?). I'm sort of getting on with my outlines but its slow going.
Hadley has not enjoyed the rain for the past few days. She's very conflicted over the rain. On the one hand, Hadley loves going outside and would never turn down an opportunity to go outside. On the other hand, Hadley hates the rain and really doesn't like getting wet unless she is swimming. This leaves Hadley and her limited range of emotions majorly torn.
There have been a lot of things making a move on my "likes" list:
Likes:
1) the fact that the law school cafe has not put out a hot water carafe so I don't have to wait in line for hot water
2) peppermint ice cream (and the fact that it's on sale at bloom)
3) under armour running tights
4) Dame Maggie Smith: how can you not love Maggie Smith? I'm watching First Wives Club and completely forgot she was in it. How many actresses can go from playing a a Helen Clement-Riker character to head of Gryffindor to Desdemona?
5) my new festive widgets: I have festive colored twinkly lights surrounding my screen and a "build your own snowman" who is currently wearing a crown and a monocle (see below)
6) Otis Redding's rendition of "White Christmas"
Dislikes:
1) the fact that we keep running out of spoons in this house for some reason - where do they go, honestly?
2) cold damp wind: when I was in Hanover I preferred the snow to the cold rain because at least it was pretty
3) flip over poison pills -- they are as bad as they sound
4) people in the library that sign up for a study room this close to exams and don't show up for it
