Concept to Completion

A while ago I posted a picture of a tall chest that I designed for a "designer" we were working for. You'd be surprised how many designers don't really know how to draw.


We finally got around to building the piece and although I don't care for the drawer configuration, the scroll work on the bottom, or the hardware she ultimately chose, I think it turned out to be quite nice. Virginia even said she likes the colour (which is good; it's hard to get her to definitively say what type of natural wood tones she likes). The piece was made completely out of local walnut and has a swing arm for a small flat screen television inside the doors.


I'll post more pictures of more completed stuff in the coming weeks. We are extremely busy between now and December 16th and hopefully everything gets done. I'll have photos of a couple of recently completed items in the next few weeks.

Let me know if anyone wants something built! We're booking projects for the new year.
