So the latest addition to the marvel that is Williamsburg is the Williamsburg trolley. I've seen it circling around New Town for the past couple of weeks when I realized that they were serious about it. As in, the good people of Williamsburg (read: Ohio tourists) will ride around in it and use it to get from point A to point B. Point A being the Governor's Mansion and point B being the cooper? Which is, fyi, right down the street!!I was reading the section Bill Bryson's The Lost Continent: Travels in Small Town America about Williamsburg and I think he was right on. The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation must be trying to trick people into thinking there is absolutely no parking in Williamsburg. Let's just clear this up:
- There is PLENTY of parking in Williamsburg
- You do not need t0 buy a ticket to walk around in Williamsburg -- that is a lie
- You do not need to park at that weird Visitor's Center and take the shuttle with the rest of the Oklahomans. See number 1.
