Charlie has been inspired by Jacques Pepin's latest cooking show, "More Fast Food My Way," on PBS (he is currently reading a Jacques Pepin biography, "The Apprentice"), so last night he made a Roast Split Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus with Mustard Sauce. Well, since Mary Katherine and Gardner have a food blog, Virginia Brown, food photographer, was out in full force. Here's a quick recap of the food (notice the asparagus server):

2frugalfoodies!
Last night, Gardner and Mary Katherine came over for dinner and I managed to convince them to let us make a cameo on their blog (2frugalfoodies). Here they are in action:

Also, Mary Katherine and Gardner made an AMAZING dessert: Fried Dessert Turnovers. They were pie dough (homemade) filled with either chocolate and hazelnuts or fresh fruit and mascarpone. Exhibit C:
