After three weeks of "vacation," it's nice to finally have a day off. Between December 18th and January 4th, Virginia, Hadley, and myself logged over 3500 miles in the car (that's over 60 hours for those of you keeping score at home) to visit family and friends over the holidays.
With our vault into the new year comes the obligatory reflection on the year that has passed and the contemplation of resolutions and goals for the upcoming 365 days.
Our year has been a roller coaster of events including a new job for me, moving to another state, becoming a permanent resident, reuniting with an old burrito-restaurant friend, starting law school, celebrating Hadley's third birthday and our first wedding anniversary, visiting Banff National Park, and starting this blog.
With any luck, 2009 will go as well as 2008 did.
Goals for 2009? Start a miniature herb garden in a weak attempt to save money at the grocery store. Build a piece of furniture that actually ends up in our house. Finish the scrapbook from our wedding.
best,
cb
