If you can't tell we're very eggcited (sorry) about our Big Green Egg. This past weekend had us breaking in the egg and our menu featured both barbecue chickens and smoked pork shoulders (my favourite). Both turned out great and it was fun learning the nuances of our new outdoor toy.
June is looking like an exciting month for us. Here are a few of the upcoming highlights:
- tick and mosquito spray for our yard (supposedly lasts 30 days and are guaranteed no bugs!)
- a mini beach vacation over Father's Day weekend with Virginia's mother's side of the family
- three weekends worth of pool time
- our neighbour's growing chicken family (more on this later)
- Jason Heyward bobblehead day at Turner Field for the June 15th game vs. the New York Mets
- Virginia's weekend BARBRI classes this weekend and in two weeks
