Hey-O

Lots going on, though day to day it doesn't really feel like it.

Susie Vader (my beloved Volvo station wagon) kicked the bucket, which Charlie and I really didn't see coming.  I still really think she owed us another year, but she's a temperamental old broad.  Long story short (I'll spare you the details on our decision making process), we are now the proud owners of a Toyota Prius.  Pictures and details (including names) are forthcoming.

Here's a rundown of what's been going on since classes started:
  • Charlie got and started a new job
  • Visited Mike & Liz in Pawtucket, RI
  • Hadley went swimming and proved she is a little motorboat in the water
  • Ate oysters at Union Oyster House in Boston and burritos at Anna's in Beacon Hill
  • Mastered "John Dalys:"  Essentially these are spiked Arnold Palmers (fresh squeezed lemonade and Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka)
  • Enjoyed ribs and black eyed peas on Labor Day
  • Housesat for a professor and discovered what Hadley will be like as a 10 year old (pretty much the same, just a little less spastic)
Charlie and I are settling in to a new school year.  He's about to get very busy with work, and I'm working on getting my routine down for classes/activities.  I'm finally ready for fall.  I could probably do with one more hot weekend, but I'm ready for fall sweaters, crisp mornings, and pumpkin ales :)

Happy Labor Day!
