Happy Thanksgiving (and kickoff to the Holidays)!

It's too easy being married to a Charlie Brown. The Thanksgiving special is my favorite one, seriously.
Happy (American) Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! Charlie and I went to my aunt's house and celebrated with my parents, aunts, uncles and one cousin. We will see more of them tomorrow when Charlie goes to golf and I hit up Lenox. I'm off from work today and tomorrow, which is awesome, and I hopefully have no work to do this weekend (so far so good).

I'm getting ready for the holidays (my favorite time of year) and am trying to do as many festive things as possible this year.  Charlie doesn't know this yet, but I hope to get our tree this weekend (though we get our tree early every year, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise). I've recorded Fred Claus, Four Christmases and Elf so far for our Christmas movies and am hoping to get some other ones like White Christmas, Holiday Inn and Home Alone.  We actually own a lot of holiday movies, including National Lampoon's, every single version of Christmas Carol (muppets, albert finney, jim carrey mr. magoo) and Love Actually (the BEST). Here's what I've got planned so far:
  • Christmas Carol at the Alliance (been doing this since I was little)
  • Holiday lights at the Botanical Gardens
  • Nine Lessons and Carols
  • Christmas at the Grove Park Inn/Asheville, NC (so excited -- Hadley gets to come with us)
  • Drive-thru live nativity scene
  • Pet photos with Santa
  • "A Charlie Brown Christmas" music at the Ferst Center
  • GA Young Lawyers Division Holiday Tea at the Ritz
  • all other ideas welcome
Also, I am really into Christmas music. Like disturbingly so. Charlie and I buy almost every Christmas album that comes out each year. Here is my current holiday playlist:
There are some staples on it. Christmas in Dixie, Mariah Carey, Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth with Bing Crosby and David Bowie, Billy Mack, etc., but I've added in some new stuff -- Michael Buble and Shania Twain singing White Christmas? Ah-mazing.

Anyways, happy holidays!
